“ANNA”
As the rays of the sun pass through the window, and hit the face of Keyan, due to the rays his face got heated up. And also the boring lecture that he didn't understand a single word which makes his mind get tired. To know when the period ends he looks at his watch, which shows 2.30 pm. And he asked his friends when the period will get over because he was always had confusion about period timings, otherwise, it will be interesting and time passing to calculate the period's timings based on the duration from the start to the end of the collage timings.
His friend tells him that this period will end in 10 minutes. Suddenly, he got excited at the same time he became sad because there is one more period remaining. After the end of the period, the professor told students that this will be the end of the college for today due to some administrative purpose. After that everyone started dispersing, during that time Keyan checked his phone and he got wondered due to missed call he got from his brother.
After reaching the room he called his brother. While the call was ringing, he thought about why he would have called him. This kind of thought was raised due to the weak bond between him and his brother. The phone vibrated as his brother attended the call and he started talking.
During the call, the one who majorly talked is his brother. He asked the help from Keyan to support and prepare for his marriage. The only person his brother would trust is his friends and Keyan. And he also asked him to arrive by tomorrow morning at their home. Usually, the travel from college to home would last for hours.
The plan is executed very well, he didn't think that they would simply sign the leaving form. After getting permission from in charge person, he went to the room and packed only the needed things. He would always carry his laptop when he goes to his house. But this time he didn't carry it because his friends suggested that the use of a laptop is not necessary there. Then he started traveling to his home by direct bus which would be available 2 km from college.
During the bus travel, he tried to focus on the highways. It worked for a minute only, then his focus started to think on impossible things like dating a heroine, fighting with terrorists all kinds of drama. He liked that thought because it has no borders and difficulties. After some time, he came into thoughts of his real life.
He is an undergraduate mechanical engineering student, with the thought of doing many projects. But the harsh reality there was no single project that he ever completed. At the same time, he couldn't understand and enjoy the college life.
The reason for not being able to do a single project is mainly due to pressure from college academics. He was barely able to manage the time between college and his personal life. The wind passes in the opposite direction of travel waking him up from the dream. Then suddenly he started sightseeing the girl, who is a college girl who looked like a senior but not from his college. He watched her till she leave the bus.
After a travel of half the way, he got a call from his brother and he attended it. Arun started the conversation by asking, "When you will arrive ? " he replied that it will take around half-an-hour and also he asked him to come to his friend's house instead of going to their home. And to that statement, he replied, " ok, I will come, send me a location ".
He reached the place from the stop by the bike with the help of his friend. When he entered the home he saw his brother and one of his brother’s friends speaking seriously about something. Arun noticed his arrival and asked him to join the conversation.
He feel something different from his brother, he was so intense and planning well like a Goosebumps in the movies. Usually, he sees his brother as a silent type of guy, most of the they have limited conversations. This is mainly due to the strict rules and regulations that are followed by their parents.
Arun looked into his face and understand that he didn't catch what they are discussing. So, he started explaining from the start to his brother.
"I know you didn't expect this from me, which is I am going to marry a girl "
Keyan asked " How, what happened, did parents know about this ? " in a continuous questioning manner. He couldn't believe that his brother has fell in love.
Arun slowed him and said, " We had been loving for the past 3 years . To be accurate from my college final year to now . But her parents arranged a marriage without her consent . And that's why you are here ".
Keyan asked, " Why I am here, you can ask others like your friends ?"
For that Arun mildly started, " From my school to college days there was no one I could tell as my friend who can help me. You are the one that I can trust and you can help me to convince our parents."
Keyan couldn't believe that he was involved in such a big task. Basically, he is the guy who hadn't had a chance to face the reality of life. Things have always run smoothly for him even though he didn't put in any effort. Then, they started to think about the plan.
It started raining and the smell of soil, make Keyan feel the vibe which is relaxation of mind. At the time there was a star in the land that come towards him, with the eyes telling him that world is within him, there was some piano music playing behind with a mild tone. The star asked him where is his brother. Then only he realized it is the angel that live in the world.
He showed his hands to his brother in the house, then she started walking into the house and he followed her. Arun welcomed her by saying her name and was introduced to Keyan as she is a friend of his lover. Kaviya started the conversation in a tense manner, by saying
" Tomorrow will be the last day that you can rescue her otherwise it won't be possible. Do something. "
Keyan started to look at others and they are seriously thinking. He couldn't have any ideas so he approached his brother and asked what is the idea you have?. He said that today night will be the best to take her out. And he also said that he don't know how to rescue her.
Keyan started " Why do we even need a plan, simply let Kaviya go into Mathi's room at sleeping time especially when all relatives are sleeping. So that there will be no disturbance and take her through the back side of the gate."
Kaviya asked " How do we take Mathi out without no buddy seeing her? "
Arun said, " Give the hijab to Mathi and ask her to wear it, if anybody asks just tell them that we are going to buy a pad ."
The mission started at 11.00 pm, and the brothers were waiting at some distance from Mathi's house. Kaviya is with Mathi since the morning and giving her confidence. As the relatives started sleeping, there were only a few people who left their important job. So, they decided it is time.
As per the plan, Kaviya is ready with her hijab, and they came out of the room. Suddenly Mathi's aunt asked what she did the told her that she took sleeping pills so she is sleeping well. And also Kaviya asked the aunt to don't disturb her.
As they continued further, Mathi's father asked them where are they going. They replied we are going to the medical shop to buy a pad. He allowed them because the medical shop is nearby. After reaching the medical shop, they looked around to see no buddies around them. Then, they entered the car which is nearby the shop.
After long hours of travel, Arun and Mathi got married and registered in the government office. Then they went for breakfast, and Keyan's brother started telling their love story
"Before three years, I was the guy who don't know anything and lived a boring life without any interest. At the same time, I was receiving heavy trolls from others. At the time, I meet her, my heart tells she was the one. So, I asked her out and she said ok. That's how our love story begins and still continues."
Mathi interrupted and said "That was half of the story, your brother sorry my husband didn't tell you how long it took him to approach me. He couldn't even speak to me. But some of his friends give him the courage. That's how he approached ."
After finishing breakfast, others went for a hand wash during that time, Arun and Keyan come out of the restaurant. And Arun said
"Life is uncertain sometimes but we can make it certain with the right people behind us. Try your work until it is a success, You can make it what you think if you learn from failures " to Keyan.
Then the other two joined them, Keyan asked "Where are both of you going? "
Mathi replied " To find a way to convince our parents " and they vanished in a bike into the road.
Keyan looked into the eyes of Kaviya and asked her "Can we go on a date ? ". This was the result of the self-realization of his confidence and his dream.
